With a city-building history spanning over 3,100 years and a capital history exceeding 1,100 years, the cultural essence accumulated through dynasties is preserved in numerous museums across the city.<div><br>The Shaanxi History Museum is located northwest of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in downtown Xi'an. Boasting an architectural style reminiscent of the Tang Dynasty's grandeur, it stands as China's first large-scale national museum equipped with modern facilities.</div> 陜西歷史博物館以通史陳列為主，展示陜西地區(qū)的古代文明，展品涵蓋從史前到明清的各個時期，其時間跨度超過一百多萬年。<div><br></div><div>The Shaanxi History Museum mainly features a general history exhibition, showcasing the ancient civilization of the Shaanxi region. The exhibits cover various periods from prehistory to the Ming and Qing dynasties, spanning a time span of over a million years.</div> 中午在太白印象城的美食街午餐。<br><br>My lunch was at the food court in Taibai Incity.<br> 午后時分，我繼續(xù)參觀行程，抵達了位于西安市北側(cè)的陜西歷史博物館秦漢館。此館與市區(qū)內(nèi)的總館相距三十余公里，占地面積更為宏大。館內(nèi)有七座建筑，它們依照北斗七星的排列而建，寓意了秦朝宮殿“效法天地、順應自然”的浪漫理念。秦漢館于2024年5月18日正式開館，迎接四方賓客。<br><br>In the afternoon, I continued my visit and arrived at the Qin and Han Dynasties Hall of the Shaanxi History Museum, located in the northern side of Xi'an City. This hall is over thirty kilometres away from the main museum and occupies a much larger area. Within the hall stand seven buildings arranged in the pattern of the Big Dipper constellation, symbolizing the romantic concept of the Qin Dynasty palace that sought to "emulated the heavens and followed the natural order." The Qin and Han Dynasties Hall officially opened its doors on May 18, 2024, welcoming visitors from all directions.<br> 秦漢館內(nèi)陳列著琳瑯滿目的秦漢文化瑰寶，它將傳統(tǒng)文化精髓與現(xiàn)代科技融為一體，詮釋了文明的豐富內(nèi)涵。這座博物館無疑是一座極具參觀價值的文化殿堂。我深感榮幸，選擇在此時此地，成為秦漢館開館僅一年來迎來的首批參觀者之一。<div><br></div><div>The Qin and Han Dynasties Hall displays a dazzling array of cultural treasures from the Qin and Han eras, blending the essence of traditional culture with modern technological to illuminate the rich connotations of civilization. Without doubt, this museum stands as a cultural sanctuary well worth visiting. I felt deeply honoured to have chosen this time and place to become one of the very first visitors within its inaugural year since opening.</div> 西安是中華文明和中華民族重要發(fā)祥地、古絲綢之路的起點。西安的城里處處都有歷史遺跡的見證。<br><br>Xi'an is an important birthplace of Chinese civilization and the Chinese nation, as well as the starting point of the ancient Silk Road. It is an urban museum that integrates cultural relic collection, scientific research, social education, and garden leisure.<br> 西安博物館的核心區(qū)域位于唐代皇家寺院薦福寺舊址。寺中保存著珍貴而醒目的歷史遺存——小雁塔，是博物館獨特的地標與精神象征，也是重要的戶外展區(qū)和參觀焦點。小雁塔由保安員看守，游客不得入內(nèi)。<br><br>The core area of the Xi'an Museum is located on the former site of the Jianfu Temple, a royal monastery of the Tang Dynasty. The temple preserves a precious and striking historical relic—the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which serves as a unique landmark and spiritual symbol of the museum, as well as an important outdoor exhibition area and focal point for visitors. The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is guarded by security personnel, and visitors are not allowed inside.<br> 西安博物館的鎮(zhèn)館之寶是1966年出土的唐三彩騰空馬。一批又一批的團隊在導游的帶領下圍著唐三彩騰空馬認真地講解。<br><br> The treasure of the Xi'an Museum is the Tri-coloured Glazed Pottery Horse Rearing Up in Mid-Air, which was unearthed in 1966. Group after groups of tourists, led by tour guides, gather around the artifact for detailed explanations. 在西安古城內(nèi)北新街，有一片平房院落建筑群，稱為“七賢莊”。1937年至1946年，七賢莊是八路軍駐陜辦事處所在地，開展統(tǒng)一戰(zhàn)線的工作，輸送有志進步青年去延安，為陜甘寧邊區(qū)和前方轉(zhuǎn)運戰(zhàn)爭物資。<br><br>On Beixin Street within the ancient city of Xi'an, there lies a cluster of one-story courtyard buildings known as "Qixian Zhuang." From 1937 to 1946, Qixian Zhuang served as the office of the Eighth Route Army in Shaanxi, where it carried out united front work, recruiting and dispatching progressive-minded youths to Yan'an, and conveying military provisions to the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Area. 工作人員讓我先自己參觀，然后再作講解。<div><br></div><div>The staff offered me to tour the premises on my own first and then they would provide a detailed explanation. </div> 1936年劉鼎租下七賢莊一號院。在德國牙醫(yī)博士溫奇·馮海伯牙科診所的掩護下，建立秘密交通站，為延安采買物資。八路軍的主要領導人周恩來、朱德、劉少奇、彭德懷、葉劍英、鄧小平、林伯渠、董必武等曾多次留駐辦事處。<br><br>In 1936, Liu Ding rented Courtyard No.1 of Qixian Zhuang. Under the guise of Dr. Winchi Von Hayber's dental clinic (a German dentist), a secret communication station was established to procure supplies for Yan'an. Key leaders of the Eighth Route Army, including Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Liu Shaoqi, Peng Dehuai, Ye Jianying, Deng Xiaoping, Lin Boqu, and Dong Biwu, had stayed at the office on multiple occasions. 今天前來參觀的多是年輕人，其中不少是身穿校服的學生。他們肩負著傳承紅色血脈、續(xù)寫時代篇章的使命。<div><br></div><div>我也融入其中，成為這群參觀者的一員。<br><br>Most of the visitors today were young people, among whom quite a few were students wearing school uniforms. They shoulder the mission to carry forward the narrative of our times. </div><div><br></div><div>I, too, had joined their ranks.<br></div> 鐘樓是西安市的重要文化地標，坐落于市中心，與鼓樓遙相對峙。昔日樓上懸掛一口巨鐘，用于報時與報警，因此得名‘鐘樓’。<br><br>The Bell Tower is a significant cultural landmark of Xi'an City, situated in the city centre and facing the Drum Tower across the way. Northwestern Polytechnical University continuously cultivates and supplies a new generation of talent young generation specializing in aviation, economics, and technology for the country.<br> 告別西安，我到北京首都機場轉(zhuǎn)機。北京機場3號航站樓里我發(fā)現(xiàn)那里竟然有一個古代的園林。<br><br>After bidding farewell to Xi'an, I transferred flights at Beijing Capital Airport. Inside Terminal 3 of Beijing Airport, I was surprised to discover that there is an ancient-style garden.<br> 截至12月底，西安咸陽國際機場T5航站樓將正式投入使用。據(jù)介紹這座現(xiàn)代化航站樓巧妙融合科技與文化元素，其候機大廳內(nèi)更設有國內(nèi)首個機場博物館！館內(nèi)珍藏文物逾三萬件，涵蓋從史前到近代的珍貴遺存。未來，旅客無需離開航站樓，即可在轉(zhuǎn)機間隙沉浸式感受十三朝古都的千年文脈。<br><br>By the end of December, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport's Terminal 5 will officially commence operations. This cutting-edge terminal seamlessly integrates technology with cultural heritage, featuring China's first-ever airport museum within its waiting hall! The collection boasts over 30,000 cultural relics spanning from prehistoric times to modern era. In the future, travelers will be able to immerse themselves in the millennia-old cultural legacy of this ancient capital without leaving the terminal building, even during transit layovers.<br> 這幾天在西安的旅行徹底顛覆了我對大西北的固有印象。過去總以為西北是黃土漫天、偏僻落后的地方，但眼前的西安繁華現(xiàn)代、生機勃勃——她既延續(xù)著千年古都的厚重文脈，又煥發(fā)著作為政治經(jīng)濟重鎮(zhèn)的嶄新活力。這讓我更加期待未來能深入探索大西北地區(qū)的更多精彩。<br><br>This trip to Xi'an has completely overturned my long-held perceptions of Northwest China. I once imagined the region as a land of endless loess and remote backwardness, but the Xi'an before me now thrives as a modern metropolis—a vibrant continuation of its millennium-old cultural legacy while radiating fresh vitality as a pivotal hub of politics and economy. This experience has only deepened my anticipation to further uncover the hidden wonders of Northwest China.<br>
