<p class="ql-block">In order to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate and improve their English translation skills, stimulate their enthusiasm for translation, discover a group of outstanding students,Changchun No.87 Middle School successfully held the fourth English Talent Show -The Translation Competition on the afternoon of December 30, 2020.</p> <p class="ql-block">The competition consists seven parts.</p><p class="ql-block">Part 1 Magic Words</p><p class="ql-block">Part 2 Amazing Phrases</p><p class="ql-block">Part 3 Simple Sentences</p><p class="ql-block">Part 4 Subordinate Clauses</p><p class="ql-block">Part 5 Advanced Sentences</p><p class="ql-block">Part 6 Cultural Knowledge</p><p class="ql-block">Part 7 Telling a touching story </p> <p class="ql-block">The first two parts came to Word and Phrase Interpretations. The selected words and phrases all come from our textbooks, which can strengthen the recitation of study vocabulary .</p> <p class="ql-block">After the competitions of words and phrases, we came to the sentence translation, ranging from simple sentences to subordinate clauses and advanced sentences.</p> <p class="ql-block">By sorting and translating the sentences, our students have a clear understanding of sentence structures.</p> <p class="ql-block">Language is the carrier of culture. <i>Fun Time</i> section is aimed at <span style="font-size: 18px;">deepening students’understanding of the differences between English and Chinese idioms, proverbs, and classic sayings.Through preparation and participation, </span>they have accumulated some expressions related to English.</p> <p class="ql-block">The last part went to Speech Delivering. The speaker told a touching story to the public, telling Chinese stories well and spreading Chinese culture!</p> <p class="ql-block">The most exciting part is the awards ceremony. We have got the Best Vocabulary Reciter, the Sentence Master, the Best Storyteller, and the Best Team!</p> <p class="ql-block">The purpose of this activity is to further stimulate the enthusiasm of translation between English and Chinese, enhance the enthusiasm of students in learning English and Chinese translation, and create a better atmosphere for students in learning English.</p> <p class="ql-block">“We came, We saw, We conquered.” There is no royal road to learning.
