There were three white eggs in it. She wanted to see them hatch. The mother bird kept the eggs warm. Sherry liked to watch the nest. She came home from school very quickly to see the eggs. For many days there was no change. One day the eggs had hatched. There were three grey little birds in the nest.They were not cute birds. They had almost no feathers. They cried for their mother. Mother came back and fed them. She fed them often to make them big and strong. One day the birds were finally pretty. They had nice feathers. They were bigger and stronger. Now they wanted to fly. Sherry watched them practice flying. They flapped their wings and cried.Thei mother tried to get them out of the nest. The birds were scared, but they had to try.
